Rich History
The Enquirer Printing Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio, has a rich history dating back to its early days. Initially associated with the Cincinnati Enquirer newspaper, the company has evolved over time. Harry J. Anderson great grandfather of current owners John and Mike Anderson purchased the job printing part of The Cincinnati Enquirer back in 1889.
Much of the earlier business was built on theatrical posters and programs that were so popular at the turn of the century. Harry J’s son, Harry C.. took over the business as he grew older and was able to continue with an emphasis on theatrical printing.
As the days of the Vaudeville waned, Harry C. began to seek other ways to keep his business thriving. He turned to the colorful circus that with the ability to print the colorful posters that Harold the arrival and towns across America. And that is how it continued thru the start of the 21st century. The Enquirer Printing Company became the largest circus printing company in the country and still is today. However they have adapted with the times and have a large digital printing segment of the business which provides majority of current printing work today.
